What is NLP Nedir

NLP, which is defined as “Neuro Linguistic Programming”, in other words Mental and Linguistic Programming, is a technique of restructuring the mental process in order to use both the conscious and the subconscious mind effectively. In the most general sense, it is a manual for using the mind.

NLP is the discovery that people can change their lives by changing their minds. It emerged from the modeling of three psychotherapists (Milton Erickson, Virginia Row, and Gregory Bateson) in the early 1970s by Richard Bandler, a mathematician, psychotherapist, and computer scientist, and John Grinder, a linguist. As it is understood from here, the emergence of NLP has been with the modeling of perfection. For this reason, we can define NLP as “the science and art of personal excellence”.

NLP itself is a positive thinking system. Some people live their lives by obsessing over bad events in the past; while others live an unhappy life with the worries of the future. NLP is a science that teaches people to focus on the present and plan for the future by learning from the past. With NLP’s techniques of clearing the past, people get rid of the effects of bad events in the past and look to the future with hope by determining a mission and vision with goal setting techniques. In this way, they have the chance to live their daily lives more positively.

While NLP shows us ways to use our feelings and thoughts in a way that will make us better, it also tells us how our internal and external communication should be. In recent years, many innovations have been made in the field of sales and marketing with NLP. NLP has a wide variety of uses. Some of these are education, family communication, health, business world, therapy, sports and individual counseling. So we can use NLP in all areas of life. NLP stands for:

The source of every behavior and thought we do is our nervous system. The basis of the nervous system is our five senses, and they are related to the way we think.

Linguistic (Language)
The messages we receive with our sense organs form a language for the nervous system. Without language, we cannot visualize thought and communicate with people. We also use language in our internal communication. The words and phrases we use when communicating with ourselves and others can lead us to happiness and success, as well as to great despair. Therefore, it is very important to use the language effectively.

Our brain receives thousands of data per second through our five senses; but it only focuses on five to nine of them. We can program our brain and language to lead to success and happiness. Programming is a process related to our behavior.
